Works very well for quick non-precise sharpening.
This is intended for quick and crude sharpening of inexpensive work knives and scissors, and it serves that function just fine.
DO NOT use this to sharpen expensive or precision bladed instruments, as this will ruin them.
If you have knives that you use to cut a lot of cardboard, or high density foam, or other material, and you don't care how the blade looks, and you don't need a precise razors edge, just that it be sharp, this will work just fine for that need.
That is what I bought this for and it has worked just fine in that role.

Very handy knife sharpener. comes apart the shaving from the knives goes Wilco into the bottom, You can empty the bottom. I absolutely love this better than expected. Easy to take apart to clean knife sharpener.
